ST Model Salto EP EDF ARTF

Another stunning innovation from ST models, this Salto aerobatic glider not only performs superbly as a foam glider in its own right, it also features a retracting EDF unit!

Inspired by the ST Model DG1000 this Salto has a retracting EDF unit pre-installed and ready to use. Using the supplied motor retraction controller, radio setup is easy and operation is even easier. When you open the throttle the first 10% on your TX the controller raises the fan opening the doors as it goes and then arms the ESC allowing you to fly as a powered glider. The second you close the throttle below the 10% mark the ESC is disarmed and the motor is retracted into the fuselage. You can also over-ride this using a 5th channel on a switch and keep the motor out for the whole flight if you choose.

The airframe itself features the clever design you expect from ST Models. Injection moulded in EPO and reinforced with carbon tube to ensure rigidity and strength. The design is interlocking and quick to assemble. The tailplanes are held on with two screws and the wings 'Twist & Lock' to the fuselage and are retained by simple catches. Then simply connect the control wires to the horns with supplied screws. That's it, 5 screws!

Simply bind the supplied FTR Rx to a Futaba FHSS transmitter, charge and fit a 3S 11.1v 1800-2100mAh li-Po to get going.

Please Note: If you have not flown an RC model before you will need to learn. Flying any model aircraft requires some degree of care and skill, even the simplest 2 or 3 channel. We recommend you read the manufacturers instructions and prepare for your first flight. There are many useful guides to learning to fly RC aircraft and if you are still unsure help will be readily available at your local club. We recommend a range test before you fly. Your model will have a warranty but this will not cover damage to propellers, wings, fuselage, tail or any other part sustained due to pilot error or loss of transmitter signal. In simple terms, if you crash it, you will be responsible for the repair!!
